1. WARHOL AND ITALY
To speak of Andy Warhol as a filmmaker, in the broadest sense that his activity allows us to attribute this term, means leading into a more or less constituted universe of discourse (that of film criticism), and into the specific field governed by this discourse (that of cinema), an object which, for one reason or another, has until now been hostile, if not altogether foreign.
